The fund's primary objective is to achieve capital appreciation. Typically, under normal market conditions, it commits a minimum of 80% of its total assets (comprising net assets and any borrowed funds used for investment) to the equity securities of small-capitalization companies. Small-cap companies are characterized as those firms whose market capitalizations align with the range of companies found within the Russell 2000® Index, based on its most recent reconstitution as of the last business day of that month.
