This fund is designed to maximize overall investment growth leading up to its specified retirement year. Once that date is reached, its main goal shifts to generating a significant stream of income, with capital appreciation becoming a secondary objective. To achieve these aims, the fund invests its assets across a diverse portfolio of underlying Fidelity® funds, encompassing U.S. stocks, international stocks, bonds, and short-term holdings. Notably, all of these underlying components, excluding any money market funds, are structured to replicate the total return performance of particular market indices.
