This fund aims to provide annual interest income distributions that are typically exempt from federal regular income tax. Its investment strategy involves allocating over half of its portfolio to investment-grade securities, including unrated debt of similar financial strength. Additionally, the fund may invest up to 49% of its holdings in lower-rated, speculative bonds—commonly known as "junk bonds"—or unrated instruments of comparable quality.
