The fund primarily allocates its capital to external debt, specifically non-local currency denominated bonds, issued by sovereign and quasi-sovereign entities within emerging markets. Under typical conditions, at least 80% of its assets are invested, both directly and indirectly, in debt instruments with economic exposure to developing countries.
