This fund pursues a value-oriented investment approach. Under typical market conditions, it commits a minimum of 80% of its total assets (which includes any leveraged funds used for investment) to common and preferred equity shares issued by small-capitalization companies. The fund's management considers "small-cap" entities to be those whose market value, at the moment of acquisition, falls within the range of market capitalizations represented by the Russell 2000® Value Index.
