The Heartland Value Fund Investor Class chiefly allocates its capital to the common stock of smaller companies. These are typically enterprises with market capitalizations that are less than the largest companies included in the Russell 2000® Value Index. Furthermore, the fund has the discretion to commit a significant portion of its assets to micro-capitalization securities, which are generally defined as companies with a market capitalization under $500 million at the time of purchase.
