ICAE primarily invests in the stock of Canadian companies listed on the TSX. These selected firms must exhibit a track record of increasing their regular cash dividends in at least four out of the most recent five years, without any dividend reductions. The fund's objective is to replicate the performance of the S&P/TSX Canadian ESG Dividend Aristocrats FMC Weighted Index. This benchmark is a broadly diversified index, weighted by float-adjusted market capitalization, designed to measure the returns of companies already included in the S&P/TSX Canadian Dividend Aristocrats Index (referred to as the "broader index"). A key condition for inclusion in the benchmark is that these companies must also satisfy specific environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards, with the index maintaining an industry sector distribution comparable to that of the broader index.
