The Invesco MSCI Europe Catholic Principles UCITS ETF Dist aims to provide the net total return performance of the MSCI Europe Select Catholic Principles Selection 10/40 (the “Reference Index”), less the impact of fees. The fund distributes dividends on a quarterly basis. The Reference Index is free-float-adjusted market-capitalisation weighted and provides exposure to large and mid-size European-listed companies. It is designed to align with the investment principles of the Catholic Church by combining a best-in-class approach from an ESG perspective, with strict values-based exclusion criteria. Constituent selection is based on MSCI’s leading ESG research and exclusions from broad consultation with the Catholic Church. The constituents of the Reference Index are selected based on having high ESG ratings relative to their sector peers, consistent with the best-in-class selection process of the MSCI ESG Leaders methodology. Broad exclusion criteria, consistent with the MSCI SRI Index methodology, are applied to remove companies involved in controversial business activities, and an additional Catholic Principles values-based screen is used to exclude companies that engage in activities related to adult entertainment, conventional weapons, abortion and contraceptives, stem-cell research, animal testing and human rights violations. The index aims to provide a similar sector breakdown to the underlying parent index (MSCI Europe Index), with 50% target sector coverage. The fund aims to achieve its objective by buying and holding, as far as possible and practical, all the securities in the Reference Index in their respective weightings. The Reference Index and, in turn, the fund is rebalanced and reconstituted on a quarterly basis. This ETF is passively managed. An investment in this fund is an acquisition of units in a passively managed, index tracking fund rather than in the underlying assets owned by the fund.
