The Invesco Solar Energy UCITS ETF Acc is designed to replicate the net total return of the MAC Global Solar Energy Index (referred to as the "Reference Index") after accounting for its own fees. This Reference Index is constructed to mirror the financial performance of global companies operating within the solar energy sector. It provides comprehensive exposure across all solar technologies, the entire industry value chain, and associated equipment. The index primarily targets businesses generating a substantial portion of their income from: manufacturing solar power components such as tracking systems, inverters, batteries, and other energy storage solutions; providing raw materials, essential parts, or services to solar developers and producers; or engaging in the installation, development, integration, maintenance, or financing of solar power systems. Constituent companies are weighted based on their market capitalization, with adjustments made to align with the percentage of revenue derived from solar-related activities. Firms generating less than one-third of their revenue from solar operations are explicitly excluded. Furthermore, any company with revenue streams from fossil fuels, nuclear power, or specific controversial business practices is ineligible. Exclusion also applies to companies with an S&P Governance Score below five. To qualify for inclusion, securities must additionally satisfy specific criteria for liquidity and tradability. The selection of solar stocks within the index is refreshed annually, while the Reference Index itself undergoes rebalancing on a quarterly basis. The fund pursues its investment objective by purchasing and holding, to the greatest extent feasible and practical, all the underlying securities of the Reference Index according to their proportional weightings. Portfolio adjustments are made by the fund whenever the Reference Index is rebalanced. This ETF operates under a passive management strategy. Investors acquire units in this passively managed, index-tracking fund, meaning they do not directly own the underlying assets held within the fund.
