This fund primarily aims to grow the value of its investments over time, with a secondary focus on generating income along the way. It achieves these goals mainly by holding stocks. Typically, at least 80% of the fund's total holdings will be dedicated to equity instruments of major corporations. This includes common shares, as well as bonds and preferred shares that can be converted into common stock. The term "total holdings" encompasses the fund's net assets combined with any money borrowed for investment purposes. Companies considered "major" are those whose market capitalization aligns with the range found in the Russell 1000® Value Index at the moment of purchase.
