Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) is a global provider of comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services. The company specializes in a diverse range of critical infrastructure sectors, including power transmission and distribution, civil construction (such as buildings, factories, roads, bridges, and water infrastructure), railways (track laying, electrification, and associated systems), and oil and gas pipelines. Its operations extend across India and numerous international markets. Operating through its Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and Developmental Project segments, KPIL offers end-to-end, turnkey solutions. These services encompass everything from design, testing, and fabrication to erection, construction, and ongoing maintenance for major projects like transmission lines, power substations, oil & gas facilities, railway networks, and a broad spectrum of civil works including airports, highways, and metro systems. Specifically, KPIL delivers EPC contracting for extensive cross-country pipelines, terminals, and gas gathering stations. For the railway sector, its expertise includes civil infrastructure development, bridge construction, gauge conversion, signaling and telecommunication systems, traction substations, and overhead electrification projects. Beyond its core EPC activities, the company is active in high-voltage substations (both air and gas-insulated types) and manufactures railway structures. It also operates two biomass power generation facilities. A significant diversification includes its agri-storage infrastructure, which provides a suite of value-added services such as warehousing, processing, trading, financial facilitation, collateral management, quality assurance (testing and certification), pest control, preservation, maintenance, and comprehensive security. Established in Mumbai, India, in 1981, the company rebranded in May 2023, changing its name from Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited to its current designation, Kalpataru Projects International Limited.
