Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (LGF-A), established in 1986 and headquartered in Santa Monica, California, is a global entertainment enterprise. Its activities span film production, television programming, subscription streaming services, and experiential entertainment venues across the United States, Canada, and other international markets. The company operates through three primary divisions: Motion Picture, Television Production, and Media Networks. The Motion Picture division is responsible for the creation and production of feature films. It also acquires distribution rights for these films, both within North America and globally. This segment manages the theatrical release, home entertainment distribution, and television syndication of its films in North America, alongside licensing worldwide distribution rights for its cinematic productions. The Television Production division develops, produces, and globally distributes a wide array of television content, including scripted series, made-for-TV movies, mini-series, and unscripted programming. It licenses its Starz original series to Starz Networks and STARZPLAY International, and handles the distribution of both Starz original content and other licensed properties. Furthermore, this division is involved in the sale and licensing of music from its television broadcasts. It also distributes its television shows and movies via physical media and digital platforms, overseeing the production, syndication, and distribution of approximately 80 series across about 35 networks, and offers talent management services. The Media Networks division focuses on the domestic distribution of STARZ's premium subscription video services through streaming platforms (OTT) and traditional video service providers such as cable, satellite, and telecommunications companies. Internationally, it also provides its STARZ-branded premium streaming content via over-the-top distribution.
