MOIL Limited is an Indian enterprise primarily engaged in the comprehensive exploration, development, extraction, beneficiation, and commercialization of diverse grades of manganese ores. The company's operations are structured across three distinct segments: Mining, Manufacturing, and Power Generation. It produces and distributes various qualities of manganese ore, including high-grade varieties crucial for ferro manganese production, medium-grade types utilized in silico manganese, blast furnace grades for producing hot metals, and manganese dioxide employed in dry cell batteries and chemical applications. Furthermore, MOIL supplies electrolytic manganese dioxide, also for dry battery manufacturing, alongside high carbon ferro manganese and ferro manganese slag. Its mining portfolio includes 11 sites located in Maharashtra's Nagpur and Bhandara districts, as well as four sites in the Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh. Complementing its core activities, MOIL also operates wind energy farms in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas district, featuring a 4.8 MW capacity at Nagda Hills and 15.2 MW at Ratedi Hills. Originally established in 1896 as Manganese Ore (India) Limited, the company, now known as MOIL Limited, is headquartered in Nagpur, India.
