It primarily pursues this objective by allocating its investments to the equity holdings of smaller-sized companies. Specifically, under typical market conditions, a minimum of 80% of the fund's total net assets—which includes any borrowed funds used for investment—is committed to various equity instruments, such as common and preferred shares, along with convertible securities, issued by U.S. small-capitalization firms.
