Description

This exchange-traded fund aims to closely track, prior to fees and expenses, the performance of the John Hancock Dimensional Small Cap Index (CAD Hedged). It invests predominantly in U.S. small-capitalization equities. A key feature is its strategy to hedge substantially all foreign currency exposure within the portfolio back to the Canadian dollar. The Index itself comprises a specific subset of U.S. equity securities, issued by companies with market capitalizations smaller than the 750th largest U.S. company. However, it explicitly excludes the smallest entities: either those falling below the 1,350th largest U.S. company or the bottom 2.5% by rolling free-float market capitalization, with these exclusions applied during each index reconstitution.
