NextEnergy Solar Fund Limited concentrates its investments on operational solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities. While its primary objective is to acquire existing, revenue-generating solar projects, the fund also considers opportunities in assets under various stages of development, from initial conception and planning to active construction. Its focus is on utility-scale, ground-mounted solar installations located on agricultural, industrial, or commercial land, specifically targeting solar power plants. Additionally, the fund may selectively invest in building-integrated solar systems. Its investment scope covers solar energy generation, independent power producers, and energy traders, with a dedicated geographical focus on the United Kingdom. Although the fund generally pursues complete ownership, it retains the flexibility to enter into joint ventures or acquire significant majority stakes. In cases of partial ownership, it secures controlling shareholder rights through specific legal arrangements. To ensure portfolio diversification, no single operational project will account for more than 30% of the gross asset value, and undeveloped assets are limited to a maximum of 10% of the gross asset value. Investments can be structured through direct equity or a combination of equity and shareholder loans.
