The WisdomTree Physical Gold is a UCITS-eligible Exchange Traded Commodity (ETC) that provides investors with a straightforward, economical, and secure way to gain exposure to physical gold. Its performance is structured to mirror the price fluctuations of physical gold in the spot market, after accounting for its recurring management fees. This ETC is fundamentally underpinned by actual, allocated physical gold, which is securely stored by HSBC Bank plc, acting as the designated custodian. The custodian strictly accepts only gold that conforms to the London Bullion Market Association's (LBMA) 'Good Delivery' standards. Each physical gold bar is meticulously segregated, individually identified, and explicitly assigned to the fund. To illustrate, if the spot price of physical gold rises by 1% over a day, the ETC's value would typically appreciate by 1%, prior to any fee deductions. Conversely, a 1% decline in physical gold's daily price would generally lead to a corresponding 1% fall in the ETC's value, before such fees are applied.
