This fund principally directs its investments towards fixed-income securities. These encompass securitized debt instruments, such as mortgage-backed securities, alongside other debt obligations issued by corporations and governments across the globe. While the majority of these holdings are denominated in U.S. dollars, a smaller allocation may be in foreign currencies. The portfolio's credit quality spans from investment-grade to below-investment-grade debt, colloquially termed 'junk bonds,' with maturities generally falling within the intermediate to long-term spectrum (three years or more).
