This actively managed fund seeks to optimize monthly income while rigorously preserving capital and maintaining robust liquidity. Its primary investment strategy involves allocating assets to high-yield deposit accounts with Canadian chartered banks and/or credit unions. Furthermore, the fund also invests in short-duration debt securities, generally maturing within one year. These instruments encompass treasury bills and promissory notes, whether issued or guaranteed by Canadian or foreign governments; bankers' acceptances; various types of commercial paper, including asset-backed and those issued by Canadian or international chartered banks and loan/trust companies; and units of Canadian money market funds. To generate additional returns, the fund may also engage in securities lending transactions.
