Description

The fund primarily invests in a broad spectrum of fixed-income instruments. Its typical holdings include debt issued by the U.S. government and its agencies, corporate bonds, bank loans, and various mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities. Notably, it can allocate up to 35% of its net assets to corporate bonds and other debt instruments considered below investment grade. These are often referred to as "junk" or high-yield bonds, with their rating determined by each assigned credit agency or, if unrated, by T. Rowe Price's internal assessment.
