This Invesco ETF strives to replicate the net total return performance of the STOXX Europe 600 Optimised Banks Index, after accounting for its operational costs. The underlying benchmark, known as the "Reference Index," offers a highly liquid mechanism for investors to monitor banking sector firms within the broader STOXX Europe 600 Banks Index, suitable for both long-term and short-term investment strategies. Its constituents are sourced from a comprehensive list of seventeen European nations: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. To achieve its investment objective, the fund primarily invests in a diversified portfolio of equities, which typically generates the majority of its returns, though these holdings may not identically match the Reference Index's components. To ensure precise tracking, it also enters into unfunded swap agreements with approved financial institutions. These contracts facilitate the exchange of any performance difference between the Reference Index and the fund's equity basket. This synthetic replication method is designed to provide a more exact and stable alignment with the Reference Index's performance than would typically be achievable through simply owning all its underlying assets. Operating as a passively managed, index-tracking fund, an investment in this ETF signifies the acquisition of units in a collective investment vehicle, rather than direct ownership of the specific securities held within its portfolio.
