This fund generally commits at least 80% of its available capital to shares and other equity-based securities of mid-sized companies. The sub-adviser defines "mid-cap" companies as those whose market capitalization falls within the range of firms comprising the Russell Midcap Index, as determined at the time of acquisition. The majority of the portfolio's holdings will typically be invested in U.S. stocks and related equity instruments, with the ability to allocate up to a quarter of its total assets to Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
