The WisdomTree Short GBP Long USD is a fully-backed Exchange Traded Product (ETP) that adheres to UCITS standards, providing investors with exposure to the British Pound's performance relative to the US Dollar. It mirrors the performance of the MSFXSM Short British Pound Total Return Index (MSCEGBPS). The ETP's total return is derived from the daily performance of FX forward contracts that are strategically short the British Pound against the US Dollar, augmented by earned interest revenue, but net of all product-related fees and costs. This implies an inverse relationship: should the British Pound appreciate by 1% against the US Dollar in a single day, the ETP's value would typically decline by 1%, before accounting for expenses. Conversely, a 1% depreciation of the British Pound versus the US Dollar over the same period would generally result in a 1% increase in the ETP's value, prior to fees.
