The WisdomTree Short JPY Long USD is a UCITS-compliant, fully collateralised Exchange Traded Product (ETP) designed to offer investors exposure to the Japanese Yen's performance against the US Dollar. Specifically, it aims to benefit from a weakening JPY relative to the USD. This product tracks the MSFXSM Short Japanese Yen Total Return Index (MSCEJPYS), with its overall return stemming from the daily changes in foreign exchange forward contracts that take a short position on the JPY versus the USD, combined with any interest revenue generated. However, this return is always adjusted to reflect the ETP's associated fees and operational costs. For clarity, if the Japanese Yen strengthens by 1% against the US Dollar in a single day, the ETP's value would typically fall by 1% (before fees). Conversely, a 1% weakening of the JPY against the USD over the same period would generally lead to a 1% increase in the ETP's value, prior to accounting for charges.
