The fund aims to generate significant capital appreciation over the long term. It primarily achieves this by investing in the common stock of smaller companies with strong growth potential. Typically, at least 80% of the fund's net assets—including any capital acquired through borrowing for investment purposes—will be allocated to equity securities issued by U.S.-based small-capitalization companies focused on growth. The advisor defines these "small-cap growth companies" as those whose market value, at the time of acquisition, falls within the same range as companies comprising the MSCI US Small Cap Growth Index, an index specifically designed to identify U.S. small-cap firms demonstrating prominent growth attributes.
