The primary objective of this investment vehicle is to achieve substantial growth in capital over an extended timeframe. Ordinarily, the fund's manager allocates a minimum of 80% of the portfolio's value to shares of smaller U.S. enterprises. Furthermore, a segment of the fund's assets may be channeled into equities of U.S. companies with medium market capitalizations.
