Under typical market conditions, it allocates at least 80% of its net assets, including any funds borrowed for investment, to equity holdings in small-capitalization ("small-cap") companies situated in emerging markets. The portfolio is primarily constructed as a diversified collection of equity securities, such as common shares and other equity-linked investments (e.g., convertible securities), issued by these emerging market small-cap firms. The Advisor selects companies believed to possess above-average growth potential, strong profitability, and high-quality characteristics.
