The fund primarily allocates, under normal market conditions, a minimum of 80% of its net assets to convertible securities, or to derivatives and other financial instruments that share their economic profile. The portfolio is not constrained by market capitalization or credit quality; it has the flexibility to invest across the entire spectrum. Occasionally, a significant portion of its holdings may be allocated to smaller companies. Up to one-fifth of the net assets may also be deployed in conventional common equity, non-convertible preferred shares, or traditional fixed income instruments.
