The Williams Companies, Inc., along with its affiliated entities, functions as a major energy infrastructure firm, primarily active across the United States. Its operations are divided into four main business segments: Transmission & Gulf of Mexico, Northeast G&P, West, and Gas & NGL Marketing Services. The Transmission & Gulf of Mexico division manages the Transco and Northwest natural gas pipeline systems. This segment also encompasses natural gas gathering and processing, crude oil handling, and transportation infrastructure located in the Gulf Coast area, in addition to several petrochemical and feedstock pipelines. The Northeast G&P segment focuses on midstream activities such as gathering, processing, and fractionation within the Marcellus Shale region, primarily spanning Pennsylvania and New York, and the Utica Shale region of eastern Ohio. The West segment handles gas gathering, processing, and treating across diverse areas including the Rocky Mountain region (Colorado and Wyoming), the Barnett Shale (north-central Texas), the Eagle Ford Shale (South Texas), the Haynesville Shale (northwest Louisiana), and the Mid-Continent region, which incorporates the Anadarko, Arkoma, and Permian basins. Furthermore, this segment manages natural gas liquid (NGL) fractionation and storage facilities situated near Conway in central Kansas. Finally, the Gas & NGL Marketing Services segment provides wholesale marketing, trading, storage, and transportation of natural gas for a range of clients including utilities, municipalities, power generators, and producers. This segment also offers risk and asset management solutions, alongside NGL marketing services. The company's extensive asset portfolio includes 30,000 miles of pipelines, 29 processing facilities, 7 fractionation facilities, and approximately 23 million barrels of NGL storage capacity. The Williams Companies, Inc. was established in 1908 and maintains its headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
