This index measures the performance of prominent German companies, specifically large-capitalization firms traded in Euros on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, weighted according to their free-float adjusted market value. A key feature is its robust ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) screening process, which excludes businesses that do not adhere to predefined sustainability standards. This includes companies with an ISS ESG Rating of D- or below, those flagged as 'Red' by ISS ESG for breaching norms, or any involved in controversial weaponry. Additionally, firms generating revenue beyond set limits from contentious areas such as tobacco, thermal coal mining, oil sands, nuclear power, civilian firearms, and military equipment are disqualified, as are those with incomplete ESG data. The index undergoes a quarterly review, with no individual constituent permitted to exceed a 15% allocation.
