The MSCI WORLD SELECT SCREENED index is designed to track the financial performance of significant and mid-sized corporations across developed global economies. Rigorous Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria are applied, leading to the exclusion of companies associated with contentious armaments, enterprises holding an MSCI ESG Rating of 'CCC' or lacking a rating, and those deriving income from activities such as tobacco production, conventional or nuclear weaponry, civilian firearms, thermal coal, non-traditional or Arctic oil and gas extraction, and palm oil. Furthermore, any entity with an MSCI Controversies Score of zero is systematically filtered out. A notable feature is its lower greenhouse gas intensity relative to the benchmark index from which it is derived. Its constituent holdings are re-evaluated every three months.
