The iBoxx MSCI ESG USD Emerging Markets Sovereigns Quality Weighted Index tracks the returns of U.S. dollar-denominated bonds issued by emerging market governments. These eligible bonds span the entire yield curve, requiring a minimum of six months until maturity, a credit rating of at least B, and an outstanding issuance of no less than $1 billion per bond. Uniquely, this index employs a quality-weighted methodology, assigning greater representation to countries with strong fundamental economic indicators and higher MSCI ESG Government Ratings, while those with less favorable economic metrics or lower ESG scores receive reduced weighting.
