This benchmark is constructed from substantial and medium-sized American corporations within the Consumer Discretionary sector, as defined by the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS). Its components are weighted according to their free-float adjusted market capitalization. To ensure diversification, no single group entity can exceed 35% of the index, while other individual constituents are restricted to a 20% allocation.
