Morgan Emerging Markets Bond Index Global Diversified 1Bn Country tracks the performance of US dollar-denominated fixed and variable-rate debt instruments issued by national governments and government-affiliated bodies in developing economies. Countries are deemed "emerging" for inclusion if, for three consecutive years, their Gross National Income (GNI) per capita has been below a specific index income threshold, or their national cost of living, based on the Index Purchasing-Power-Parity Ratio, has remained beneath a certain benchmark. Furthermore, eligible countries must possess a total of at least USD 1 billion in outstanding debt. A maximum country weighting of 10% is enforced at each index rebalancing.
