The BMO MSCI EAFE Hedged to CAD Index ETF aims to mirror, as closely as practicable, the investment performance of the MSCI EAFE 100% Hedged to CAD Dollars Index, after accounting for its operational costs. This fund strategically allocates capital to equity securities within developed global economies, specifically excluding companies located in Canada and the United States. Its manager may opt to employ a sampling strategy when selecting portfolio holdings or may also acquire other financial instruments that aim to replicate the Index's returns. A crucial aspect of this ETF is its commitment to hedging: all foreign currency exposures are systematically converted back to the Canadian dollar to mitigate exchange rate fluctuations. Furthermore, should ZDM invest in other exchange-traded funds, the management fees charged to investors are reduced by any management fees already paid within those underlying investments.
