This fund's principal strategy involves allocating at least 80% of its net assets, supplemented by any investment-related borrowings, to equity securities of small-capitalization companies, including common and preferred stocks. The portfolio also maintains the flexibility to invest in convertible preferred stock and convertible debt instruments. Its investment scope extends to international securities, encompassing those from emerging markets, and it may acquire Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). Furthermore, the fund is authorized to participate in Initial Public Offerings (IPOs).
