This fund aims to generate a comprehensive total return. Its subadviser pursues this objective by strategically blending current income with potential capital appreciation. Under typical conditions, a minimum of 80% of the fund's investable capital is allocated to debt instruments. For the purpose of this policy, "bonds" encompass all fixed-income securities, excluding preferred stock, that had an original maturity exceeding one year. The fund maintains the flexibility to commit up to 30% of its investable assets to speculative, higher-risk, below-investment-grade securities. Additionally, as much as 30% of its holdings may consist of international debt obligations, including those issued by developing economies.
