Under typical conditions, this fund commits at least 80% of its total assets, including any capital acquired through borrowing for investment, to debt instruments originating from emerging market entities. It allocates capital to debt securities issued by national governments, government-linked organizations, multinational bodies, and corporations located in developing countries, as well as debt instruments from special purpose entities created to restructure existing debts of these issuers. The portfolio maintains a non-diversified structure.
